As of May 11,
2020 Mann Metal Finishing is committed to health, safety, and doing all we can to maintain a high level of service. While a stay at home order is still in place for Michigan, manufacturing was allowed back to work as of May 11, 2020. Our business has remained open with essential workers from the start of the first stay at home order because we are part of the vital supply chain in critical industries, including medical, government, and transportation that are keeping communities healthy and safe during this crisis. We continue to operate our business, consistent with any local requirements, regulations, and restrictions. Our company remains ready to serve to ensure we provide necessary services to our customers. Our team is working to help ensure we are implementing best practices and we continue to monitor and address concerns that could affect our ability to serve such as staffing constraints, supplier resources and production operations. We are taking measures to protect our inventory levels to support our customers. We will continue to take appropriate measures to protect the health and safety of our employees who work for us. Stay safe and healthy, Mann Metal Finishing, Inc.
Additional actions we are taking
Our actions are based on guidance and information provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and our state and local government orders, regulations, and restrictions.
Social distancing best practices
We are encouraging employees to practice social distancing. This means, wherever possible, remaining out of large group settings, avoiding mass gatherings, and maintaining distance with others, recommended maintaining distance of six feet.
Visitors to our facility
We are limiting visitors to business essential need only and are encouraging people to conduct meetings and discussions virtually. For business essential visits, visitor screening guidelines will be applied to prohibit visitors who are ill or have traveled to restricted locations within a certain time frame.
Employees are working from home when possible
Office employees are working remotely most of the time. This is in conjunction with the state order and helps reduce the spread of the virus. We have directed any employee feeling ill or with any flu-like symptoms to stay home and seek medical attention immediately.
We have dedicated staff cleaning and disinfecting high-touch areas frequently and have requested that employees disinfect any shared equipment or tools before use. We are minimizing sharing of tools and equipment where possible.
Increased employee communication and training
Informing employees about COVID, how it is spread and the symptoms. Safe practices including staying home when sick, respiratory etiquette, hand hygiene best practices, avoiding touching the face, shaking hands or hugging. Also includes requirements and proper use of PPE such as masks/face coverings, face shields, and gloves according to guidelines.
Employee Daily Screening
We are screening employees before they start work to ensure those experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or those who were potentially exposed due to international travel or close contact with COVID are sent home.
Our team remains available to assist you. Please contact us to learn more about how we can be of service.
